From 2 October, our products and services are moving to a new IT platform in order to improve the quality of our products and services to better meet your needs in the future.

The migration of your accounts to the new system is fully automated. This migration will result in changes that you can discover on this website.
We are keeping this page up to date, so please consult it regularly.

BIL Team

You will find essential information for each category below:

Day-to-day banking

  • From October 2023, you will no longer have to wait for your credit cards to arrive before using them with Apple Pay and Google Pay. You'll be able to make contactless payments instantly.
  • From now on, a single limit will apply to your debit cards, whether for withdrawals or payments. This limit is now linked to your debit card and no longer to your account.
  • Periodic commissions are deducted monthly. They will be charged on the 5th of each month for the period to the 4th of the following month.

Online banking BILnet

  • The migration of your accounts to the new system is fully automated. To continue to benefit from our online banking services, please update the application (App Store for iPhone, or Google Play for Android).

    See the procedure

To continue using BIL Payconiq, make sure you have the latest version of the application and then reactivate the application with your LuxTrust login details.
  • From now on, your eligible SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) transfers will be processed instantly, 24/7, at the same rate** as your usual euro transfers. However, if the beneficiary's bank does not support instant transfers, the transfer will be processed as a standard transfer with the associated delays.

Financing and loans

  • In BILnet, you will now have access to additional information about your loans, such as the type of loan, the amount borrowed and used, the current interest rate, upcoming payments and remaining capital to be repaid.
  • Your mortgage loan will now appear under the "Loans" section in BILnet. Your mortgage will be represented by a contract and no longer by an account on which movements are recorded.
  • The amount of your repayment will be calculated based on the amount drawn down on your loan and not yet repaid. Any additional use (drawdown) or early repayment will result in a recalculation of your repayment amount.

Investments

  • The method for calculating your recurring fees for BIL Actio, Advisio and Serenio packages changes as follows:
    1. Actio: recurring fees are charged quarterly at the end of each period, based on the daily average of non-BIL securities with a minimum fee.
    2. Advisio and Serenio: recurring fees are charged quarterly at the end of each period, based on the daily average of assets held during the quarter, i.e. Invest accounts and investment products.
  • Your equity positions are now displayed by stock market in BILnet and in your asset report.
For example, if you hold Apple shares purchased on NASDAQ and on the XETRA market, you will now see two separate lines for these shares, one for each stock market.
  • The history of your securities transactions prior to 3 October 2023 is available in your electronic documents or your asset report, while orders placed on or after 3 October 2023 will be visible in the "list of transactions" in BILnet.
  • The history of your order book before 3 October 2023 is available in your electronic documents or your asset report. Orders placed from 3 October 2023 will be visible in your "Order book" in BILnet.

Tariffs and terms and conditions

  • In addition to the fees already charged on a monthly basis (account charges, packages, etc.), fees for the following products and services will be charged on a monthly basis from 1 October 2023: bank cards, Invest account and safe-deposit boxes. Billing will take place on the 5th of each month for the period up to the 4th of the following month.
  • Fees will be debited monthly, rather than yearly, if your bank cards are not part of a package.
  • Your repayment amount is now calculated with regard to the amount of the loan actually used and not yet repaid. Any additional use (drawdown) or early repayment will lead to the repayment amount being recalculated.
  • Money to repay your mortgage is taken from your current account directly. If sufficient funds are not available, the system will make a partial repayment and you will be charged late payment interest on the unpaid amount. So, please make sure you have enough money available to meet your monthly mortgage payment!
