Always accept application and browser software updates.
Protecting your accounts
Check the status of your accounts, transactions, activities and most recent connections regularly.
Never give your login details and password to other people.
Connect using computers you know are safe (avoid connecting from an internet café, hotel, etc.).
Use a LuxTrust product to log on and to sign your transactions.
Be wary of suspicious emails
If an email seems dubious or unsolicited, do not open it and above all do not download any attachments if you are unsure of the contents.
Use the secure message facility available in your secure BILnet area in preference to emails when communicating with the Bank.
The Bank will never email you to ask for your login details and/or any confidential information.
Never enter your authentication details (login and password) into a page displayed in an email, even if it seems to come from the Bank.
Be wary of links (hypertext links) redirecting you to third-party websites.
If you think you may have been a victim of attempted fraud or if your connection to BILnet or to BILnet Mobile or a transaction is not processed in the usual way, please alert the BILnet technical hotline immediately using our secure message facility or by telephone: (+352) 4590 4590.
